Göksu Kunak(TUR/DE)
Born in Ankara and currently based in Berlin, Göksu Kunak is a writer and performance artist whose work melts queer methodologies into hybrid texts that explore the linguistic performativity of the modern world. Inspired by chronopolitics, the study of how time impacts concepts of civilization and modernization, Kunak approaches their writing as a non-native English speaker by toying with syntax and multiple languages, piercing established hetero-patriarchal structures in the process and considering the effects of Orientalism and self-Orientalization on art and self-expression.
