The first of two afternoon concerts is a commissioned collaboration between Teoniki Rożynek and Aleksandra Słyż, two of Poland’s leading younger composers, engaging an ensemble of horn players for a piece exploring stillness and breath. Following, Mount Eerie aka Phil Elverum (also of The Microphones) will give his first performance in Poland in six years, including “new songs from an in-progress album”. Both sets will later be broadcast on Polish Radio 2, giving listeners a chance to experience the performances even if they can't attend in person.
