Drawing as much inspiration from medieval polyphony as he does from electronic music, Kyiv-based composer and sound artist Oleh Shpudeiko creates levitational soundscapes that stretch across time. He attracted global acclaim when he re-imagined Early music using modular synthesizers on 2020's "MADRIGALS", and this year released "KYIV ETERNAL", an emotionally charged tribute to his home city that juxtaposes pre-war field recordings of Kyiv with ambient 'memory loops' from his archive. It's an abstract audio journal that poetically untangles grief and loss during a time of immense pain and isolation.
