They've collaborated with Uganda's Nakibembe Xylophone Troupe, released albums on Danse Noire and SVBKVLT, and most recently joined contemporary artist Tianzhuo Chen’s Trance Band, but Indonesian duo Gabber Modus Operandi are best known for their incendiary, carnivalesque live performances. Comprised of Kasimyn and Ican Haram, the duo offsets Indonesian sounds like jalithan, funkot and dangdut coplo with punk, noise and hard dance, traversing a unique sonic landscape wrinkled by ritual, groove and throat-shredding intensity. There's truly nothing else like it.
